Seni Pertunjukkan ini merupakan kesenian yang sangat populer di Provinsi Banten, karena hampir ada dan tumbuh berkembang dengan baik di tiap peloksok daerah di Banten, termasuk Pandeglang. Sehingga Debus dapat dikatakan sebagai seni pertunjukkan ciri khas Banten, Walaupun, Debus

Di Banten, permainan Debus berkembang di Kabupaten Lebak, Pandeglang dan beberapa kecamatan di Kabupaten Serang diantaranya : Walantaka, Kragilan, Curug, dll.

This performing art is an art that is very popular in the province of Banten, because almost can be found and grow well in every corner of the area in Banten, including Pandeglang. Thus, Debus can be considered as a typical of Banten performing arts, though, Debus also found in other areas, such as Garut, Bandung, even in Aceh. Debus is a martial arts related to immunity as a reflection of Banten people to defend themselves. Traditional arts combined with dance, voice and nuanced magic of this mystical art. Debus is a performing art that shows the immunity to the punch, stab, and blow a sharp object. In the performane, Debus displays many attractions to immunity in accordance with the wishes of players. In the court of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa in 17th century (1651 – 1652), Debus focused as a tool to evoke the spirit of the warriors in order to fight against colonialist. In further developments, Debus became a part of arts and culture in Banten and much liked by the community as a rare and exciting entertainment.

In Banten, Debus develop in Lebak Regency, Pandeglang, Cilegon City and several District in Serang Regency such as: Walantaka, Kragilan, Curug, etc.
