Golok Ciomas (Ciomas Machete) is one of special weapons from Banten, especially in Ciomas. Well-known for it’s sharpness and mystical power inside it. In the colonial era martial artist used the machetes against colonizer. Ciomas Machete is famous for its balance in shape, sharpness, smoothness and no Arabic decorations like other sacred weapons. Out of its physical, Ciomas Machete also known for its mystical and poisonous steel core.

Ciomas Machete variants:

1. Candung: a machete that has sharp, pointed, and serrated tip.

2. Mamancungan: a machete that has a sharp tip like a spear.

3. Kembang Kacang: a machete that has cubicle shaft and curve on its belly.

4. Salam Nunggal: a long and sharp machete, same as the biggest machete in the world.

5. Malapah Gedang: a balanced machete from the handle to its tip.

6. Bedul Mungkuk: a long machete with sharp curved tip.

Pre requirement to make Ciomas Machete:

1. The production of the machete must be at 1-12 Maulud (the birth month of Prophet Muhammad SAW) or Rabiul Awal Hijriah (Islamic Calendar).

2. Must be forged by Si Denok Sledgehammer (Si Denok is a sledgehammer gifted from Sultan Banten).
